Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Goodnestone Church of England Primary School is an Inclusive Learning Community, where all children are cared for and supported. In our school, all staff are considered responsible for supporting the needs of pupils with SEND. Our staff are committed to regular, high-quality training to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to better meet a wide range of pupil needs.
Staff are ambitious for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
SEND is always a high priority here... Early years children with SEND are helped to feel secure in the predictable routines. The school works closely with other professionals, parents and carers, relentlessly pursuing what is in each pupil’s best interests. There is a clear commitment to making an extra effort to meet a range of complex needs, including through developing highly individualised bespoke approaches.
Below outlines key staff who will be supporting your child. Please note that this list is not exhaustive.
