Year 1 Phonics Test

At the end of Year 1 pupils take a phonic test to assess if they have achieved an expected level of phonic understanding. The expected standard is to score 32 or greater out of 40.

In 2017/18 43% of pupils reached the expected standard.

Key Stage 1 Teacher Assessments

At the end of Key Stage 1 pupils are teacher assessed against National curriculum criteria.

In 2017/18 57% met the expected standard in reading and 14% were working at greater depth; 57% met the expected standard in writing and none were working at greater depth; 86% met the expected standard in mathematics and 14% were working at greater depth.

Key Stage 2 SATs

At the end of Key Stage 2 pupils are tested and teacher assessed against National Curriculum criteria. This year our writing teacher assessments were externally moderated.

There were 11 pupils in Year 6 in 2017/18, some with additional educational needs.

In 2017/18 55% met the expected standard in reading and none were working at greater depth.  In writing 91% met the expected standard and 18% were working at greater depth; 27% met the expected standard in mathematics and none were working at greater depth. 

18% met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths and none were working at greater depth in all three subjects.

The average scaled scores were in 101 reading and  98 mathematics.

The school’s progress scores were -2.5 in reading, 2.4 in writing and -5 in mathematics.
